Trim Healthy Mama Recipes

These Trim Healthy Mama recipes are healthy, delicious and perfect for anyone following the THM diet plan. You will find a wide variety of recipes here from breakfast to dinner, and even dessert!

Created by sisters Serene Allison and Pearl Barrett, Trim Healthy Mama, also known as THM, is more than just a diet, but a healthy lifestyle based on biblical principles.

THM does not count calories, points, or grams, but rather separates fuel types (fats and carbs). On the THM plan, you choose good fats (S meals) OR good carbs (E meals) for each meal, but not both together (unless you’re pregnant or nursing).

S stands for Satisfying meals, which are fat-based meals containing protein and fat, but no sugar and little to no carbs or starches. Think eggs, bacon, and peppers fried in butter. A good example of an S meal would be these Healthy Copycat Starbucks Egg Bites!

E stands for Energizing meals, which are carb-based meals containing a lean source of protein and up to 45 grams of healthy carbs, but no sugar and little to no fat. Think chicken breasts, quinoa and butternut squash. A good example of an E meal would be this Sweet Potato Hash!

There are also XO meals, which are Crossover meals. These meals contain both fats and carbs. While not conducive to weight loss, they are great options for growing children, men who have very physical jobs, women who are pregnant or nursing, or those who have reached their goal weight or need to gain weight. Think sprouted toast with butter and eggs. A good example of an XO meal would be these Spaghetti Squash Taco Boats!

Lastly, there are FP meals, or Fuel Pull meals. These are meals that contain a lean source of protein and very little to no fats or carbs. These meals can be helpful for those trying to lose stubborn fat or trying to get past a weight loss plateau, but they shouldn’t be eaten too often. Think low-fat cottage cheese and berries. A good example of an FP meal would be these Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes!

All of these recipes are THM approved or have modifications written where necessary. If you are looking to slim down or just live a happier healthier life, there is something here for you! Not just for mamas, but men and children can benefit from physical and mental improvements, such as stabilizing blood sugar, feeling fuller for longer, having more energy, and much more.
