These 21 Day Fix recipes have no full containers per serving. This means that per serving, each recipe has less than one full container of any color. For example, this Baked Blooming Onion recipe counts as 1/2 blue container, 1/2 green container, and 1/2 red container per serving.
These recipes can help you round out your 21 Day Fix meal plan in case you have extra half containers. They can also help fill you up when planning your day.
Some of these recipes are simply counted as 21 Day Fix teaspoons. My BBQ Sauce recipe counts as 1/3 sweetener teaspoon per serving, and my Cilantro Chimichurri is counted by how much oil is used–about 3 teaspoons per serving on average.
What the heck are teaspoons on the 21 day Fix? On the 21 Day Fix, you’ll be counting colored containers based on your calorie range as well as teaspoons of oil and sweeteners. Oil teaspoons that are listed in the food list are extra virgin olive and coconut oil, flaxseed oil, cacao nibs, nut butters (like peanut butter and almond butter), seed butters (like pumpkin butter and tahini), as well as butter, ghee, and mayonnaise.
Sweetener teaspoons are different than oil teaspoons on the 21 Day Fix, and everyone is allowed to have no more than four sweetener teaspoons per day. You can find this information under the Coffee & Tea section of the 21 Day Fix or Ultimate Portion Fix kit.
Meant to give Fixers a little sweetness for their coffee and tea, it says that 1-2 teaspoons of sugar, honey, or other natural sweeteners are allowed in your coffee per day.
Especially if you don’t use these sweetener teaspoons in your coffee, it’s good to know that they’re available to you. I like to count them in my recipes, like the BBQ Sauce I referred to earlier. Sometimes I use real maple syrup on my pancakes and count it as a sweetener teaspoon, or Stevia in my iced tea–this counts as a sweetener teaspoon as well. I don’t always use my sweetener teaspoons, but it’s nice to know they’re available, and I watch to make sure I don’t go over them.
Keeping track of your 21 Day Fix containers down to the teaspoons can impact the results you see on the program. Taking note of the containers you eat each day, eating all of your containers, and following the treat swap rules and keeping them at no more than three per week will help you succeed and lose weight on the 21 Day Fix eating plan.
