Disney’s new animated movie FROZEN opened this week! Here’s a clip if you haven’t heard of the movie yet:
Walt Disney Animation Studios presents “Frozen,” a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. The film is directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, and produced by Peter Del Vecho. Featuring music from Tony® winner Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, “Frozen” is in theaters in 3D on November 27, 2013.
The boys both liked FROZEN! While the movie had a lot of singing (which will make for an amazing soundtrack!), they really liked the storyline and the characters. Olaf (the snowman) stole the show with his hilarious one liners.
Kristoff’s reindeer Sven is a lovable character with some fun human qualities.
As Anna sets off on her journey to find her sister, Elsa, she runs into Kristoff and Sven. Eventually they encounter this snow monster. While he is a little scary (probably for kids ages 3-5), there is some comic relief in these scenes.
For my family of desert dwellers, we loved seeing all of the snow and ice in FROZEN! It’s such a different world to us! We were pretty excited about the movie because Jack has been working on these FROZEN activities for a few weeks.
We even made a fun FROZEN snowman treat when we got home–you can find it on Disney In The Desert!
Are you heading to see FROZEN this weekend? Let me know what you think!
