Ingredients in Weight Watchers Salsa

  • Tomatoes: You’ll need diced tomatoes with no sugar added. We prefer to use organic tomatoes for this recipe, and rely on making sure there is no sugar added in the can. If you do happen to have a surplus of roma tomatoes at home, feel free to use fresh tomatoes!
  • Garlic: I’m under the impression that all foods are more delicious when they include fresh garlic. Okay, maybe not in all foods, but definitely in salsa!
  • Limes: All salsa recipes should include fresh lime juice. It balances out the flavors of the tomatoes jalapenos perfectly.
  • Onion: You’ll need about 1/2 of an onion for this recipe. However if you double the serving size, you can make this recipe and store some for later.
  • Cilantro: We love cilantro, but also realize that for some of our readers cilantro might not be your favorite thing to add to salsa. You’ll love this recipe, especially if you are a fan of cilantro.
  • Jalapeño: Looking for a spicy flavor? Jalapeños are the perfect addition to our Weight Watchers salsa. Be sure to remove the seeds from the jalapeño before adding to the blender or chopping.
  • Salt: We recommend tasting the salsa before you add salt. This is a great option when wanting to limit salt intake. If you over-salt something there isn’t much you can do to fix the flavor. After tasting, feel free to add a little salt into your salsa mix if you need.
