Sweet Potato Pasta FAQs
Yes. Sweet potato pasta is a healthy pasta alternative, as sweet potatoes are rich in vitamins and minerals. However, it also depends on the preparation and toppings. This recipe uses few ingredients and so it is a healthy side dish. To make a balanced meal, it’s best paired with a lean protein like these Turkey Swedish Meatballs or this Easy Chipotle Chicken Recipe.
There are actually two ways to make sweet potato noodles. The easiest, and the way we used to make this recipe, is to use a spiralizer or julienne peeler. The other way is by processing the sweet potatoes to create a starch which is then used to make a noodle batter. I’ve never tried this second method because using a spiralizer is just so much easier and results taste amazing.
In this recipe the sweet potato noodles are cooked for 3-5 minutes.

This sounds delicious! I’ve kept these for 2-3 days in the fridge.
