Ingredients in Strawberry Cucumber Margarita
- Tuaca Liqueur: If you haven’t tried Tuaca liqueur yet, you need to. It’s a flavorful blend of Italian Brandy, Mediterranean Citrus and Vanilla Spice. This is the perfect liqueur for a margarita, especially if you are not a tequila fan.
- Strawberry Margarita Mix: We use Jose Cuervo’s strawberry margarita mix here. Yes, the mix does have sugar, but with all of our other minimally processed ingredients, we don’t feel bad about using a mix to help sweeten up this drink. The strawberry margarita mix gives the cocktail a sweetness that balances out the strawberries and cucumber.
- Strawberries: We’re talking flavorful and fresh strawberries in this delicious drink. Anytime we can add fruits and vegetables to a cocktail I call that a win.
- Cucumber: You’ll slice up the cucumber and garnish the drink with cucumber slices. Cucumbers have such a refreshing flavor and many health benefits. We leave the cucumber as is without peeling it, but if you prefer your cucumber peeled you’re welcome to peel it before slicing.
- Ice cubes: You may use any type of ice cube. We prefer using smaller ice cubes so our strawberry and cucumber slices have plenty of room in our glass.

Recipe Tips
- If strawberry and cucumber margaritas are not your idea of a tasty drink, check out all of our other refreshing margarita recipes, and find one that you love!
- If you don’t have a stirrer stick, feel free to give the drink a little shake in the cocktail shaker. We try not to shake vigorously or else it’ll mash or muddle the strawberries too much.
- Our margarita uses Tuaca Liqueur. We love liqueur because of the citrus and vanilla flavor. This makes our cocktail unique from other margarita recipes who might rely on vodka, gin, tequila, or the triple sec orange liqueur Cointreau for the alcohol.
- We like to garnish this drink with fresh cucumber slices and fresh strawberries. These two ingredients alone offer just the right amount of balance in flavors.
- If your cocktail shaker has a strainer built in, we recommend using that to strain the drink. You may also use a fine mesh strainer that you probably already have in your kitchen.
- Although our original recipe doesn’t include salt, you’re welcome to garnish the rim of your glass with lime and salt. Before pouring the drink into the rock glass, simply rub a little lime juice on the rim, and then dip the glass in salt. The salt rim tastes perfect with sweetness of strawberries.
