These easy Crockpot Pork Chops with Pears are a delicious family friendly weeknight meal! This healthy slow cooker pork recipe is easy to meal prep and eat all week! If you like Crockpot Pork Chops with Apples, you're going to love this recipe with pears!
4piecespork chops1 inch thick, can also use pork tenderloins
2tbspolive oil
1tbspmustardDijon
1tbspthyme
1tbspbasil
1cupchicken brothlow sodium
2clovesgarlic
½tsppepper
1onionyellow, sliced into large chunks
Optional: salt to taste
Pear Topping:
1tspbutteror olive oil | read the directions first–if adding to the crockpot, this is not needed
4cupspearssliced into large chunks (about 3 pears)
Instructions
Coat the pork evenly with 1 tsp of olive oil. Salt & pepper the pork to taste.
Optional but tasty step: In a hot skillet, brown the pork on both sides.
Evenly coat the pork with dijon mustard.
Add the pork to your Crockpot and sprinkle on the thyme and basil.
Add the chicken broth, garlic and onion on top of your pork.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pork is cooked through and fork tender (tender enough to be pierced or cut easily with a fork).
Heat 1 tsp of butter or olive oil in a skillet and sauté sliced pears until slightly soft.
Remove pork from slow cooker, top with sautéd pears and serve.
