4piecespork chops1 inch thick, can also use pork tenderloins
1cupchicken brothlow sodium
1onionyellow, sliced into large chunks
Optional: salt to taste
1tspbutteror olive oil | read the directions first–if adding to the crockpot, this is not needed
4cupspearssliced into large chunks (about 3 pears)
Coat pork with 1 tsp oil and salt and pepper evenly.
Optional, but tasty step: Brown pork on both sides.
Evenly coat pork with mustard and sprinkle with remaining items except for pears and butter.
Add pork to crockpot.
Cook on low 6-8 hours or until pork is done.
Another optional step: Heat 1 tsp butter in skillet and sauté pears until slightly soft. Serve over pork. You could also add these into the crockpot for the last hour.
