What’s In A Name?

Today’s Back To Blogging assignment?

Re-upload a post with a title that you are particularly proud of and explain why.

Hmmm.. that’s a hard one.

(I don’t think about post titles nearly as much as I should.)

As I was looking through my posts, I kept thinking,

“oh, that one was cute.”

“Uh-oh, I used that one more than once.”

“Wow… that one was lame.”

But then I saw this one:

Grandma’s Groupies

And I remember how proud I was that I thought of a title that included 2 words starting with the same letter.

(It doesn’t take much, guys)

This post title has even spawned a button:

And a group of, well… groupies.

Do you know Cheers had “Norm?”

Well, I have “Grandma Teetsie.”

She’s always here, hanging around, saying funny things.

Here it is, for your reading pleasure:

Grandma’s Groupies

I love my Mom.

And from what I gather, so do you guys.

I was looking through my comments and e-mails today and didn’t have to look back too far to find these:

If you are new to the blog and don’t know what I’m talking about, here are some of her latest comments:

On bloggers:

On social skills (and teasing me about my brother house-sitting during our vacation, which he didn’t):

On parenting skills:

On people driving too fast in the neighborhood:

Giving moral support:

Her thoughts on Twitter:

I have been told that a couple of you actually scroll through the comments first and look for hers, and then scroll back up and read my post.

Thanks, guys.

She has made some friends with you guys, too. Some of you are her facebook friends, and she’s stopped by a few blogs, as well:

She’s quite the celebrity, you know.

I have been calling you guys groupies behind your back.

And I thought it would be fun to give you a button.

<center><a href=”http://mycrazygoodlife.com” target=”_blank”><img src=”http://i809.photobucket.com/albums/zz13/ourcrazyboys/Groupie_1.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Photobucket”></a>

*I believe this code is working. If not, it might work for you if you grab it from the box on the right sidebar*

So, go ahead and grab her button.

And don’t forget to let me know that you did (so I can tell her how to find you).

I would love to get a list of groupies together.

I am going to try and do a Grandma Teetsie comment wrap up once a month or so, in case you happen to miss a laugh or two.

(No stress, Mom. Just keep doing what you’re doing:)

Oh, and for those who have asked, Her name is Terri. But her brothers and sisters (8 of them in all) couldn’t pronounce Terri when she was little. So, Teetsie it was. It stuck.

She didn’t get it bad.

Two of her brothers are Binger and Bhomas.

You guys have cracked me up with your support for my Mom, and I love it.

I had no idea that my readers would end up falling in love with my Mom.

But that’s what happens when you meet her.

You fall in love with her like she’s your own mother.

Trust me, it’s been happening my whole life.

But I love her more.

(Happy Mother’s Day!)

I just realized that I haven’t followed up on my promise of a Grandma Teetsie wrap up…

I’m putting it on my “to-do list” right now.

This post is part of the SITS Girls’ week long Back To Blogging event and is

sponsored by Standards of Excellence, Westar Kitchen and Bath, and Florida Builder Appliances.

Crazy old Teetsie. She’s always good for a laugh… (That’s from a movie…only I changed the name, of course, because there aren’t really any movies with a Teetsie in them.)

Yes, you should definitely do the Teetsie Wrap-up. That would be some good readin’ right there.

Great pictures. Cody is one of my clsseot friends and I am glad that his relationship with Becca is captured so well in these pictures. I am also glad that someone is getting Cody to smile without having to verbally eviscerate another person. Seriously you guys look great together and once again great work on the photographers part.

Awww SHUCKS!!!!! :`) (That is a tear with my smile) thought of that all by my own self. Anyway – THANK YOU – THANK YOU VERY MUCH (standing ovation) Seriously, (yeah right) but JoeAmy, Chelsea, Darcie and Bec, and others they I fail to mention because I am only on cup of coffee #1, I look forward (and set my alarm for 1/2 hr earlier that I have to) so I can read your blogs every morning. THEY make my day! Some day I will have a shirt made just like my button and when I finally get to meet you girls face to face you will all sign it for me. How cool. But Becca I want you to know that I am nothing compared to the things you write about in every blog I am able to feel like I am right next door even though I am thousands of miles away. (Lucky, lucky Steve) Gosh, I feel like I just got the Golden Girl Award and time for the commercial (which is really my shower so I can start my day and get my butt to work) Love You and thank God every day that I have you!

Becca, I think this was the post I read about that made me wanna subscribe to ya. It made me laugh and remind me of when my mom was around. She was a great sounding board and I almost always knew what she was gonna say. You have a wonderfully funny and very insightful mom.

It was a great post made better by Gramma Teetsie’s comment….LOVE HER!!!!!

I just added her button, which removed yours, so I added your button and lost hers and then I think I got it all figured out.

I’ll need a coffee or something ;) now.

That *was* a good one. I’m thinking maybe you’re partial to the letter “G”. Not only was it the star of your favorite title, but wasn’t last year’s Halloween party themed for G???

OMG I meant to tell you, I was SO excited the other day when Gramma Teetsie commented on my blog! It was a happy, happy moment!
