Mini-Comedians {Tween/Teen Tuesday Linky}

November 13, 2012

Welcome to Tween and Teen Tuesdays at OurCrazyBoys.com! I hope you’ll come share your posts about your not-so-little-but-not-so-big kids with me.

Tween Tuesday Linky, Teen Tuesday Linky

Tweens are funny.

They’re not little kids, but not big kids. They’re still learning their way and deciding who they are.

This?

This leads to funny conversations.

Our pre-tween (ages 6-10 are considered pre-tween) is 8. And he is learning that he’s funny. Sometimes this is good… sometimes it’s bad.

Last night, my husband was hanging a shelf in Jack’s room and it took longer than expected.

Jack was supposed to go to bed at 7:15, but it was 7:45 before the shelf was hung. Being funny, Steve asked Jack a question.

Steve: What time were you supposed to be in bed?

Jack: 7:15.

Steve: Why aren’t you in bed yet?

Jack: Because I didn’t want to turn the light off on you!

Cracked. us. up.

A couple of years ago when Michael was Jack’s age, he was ready to graduate from his booster seat to a “real” seat in the car. We went out for ice cream to celebrate.

Michael: Mom… when I am old enough to sit in the front seat, where will you sit?

I want to hear your stories now. Spill them.

Funny tween stories.

Ready, set… go!

My 12 yo son is flying alone to Chicago for Thanksgiving. So that he doesn’t have issues at airport security we’re getting him a state identification card. This morning when I woke him up, he said he wouldn’t be mysterious anymore because he’ll be identified.
